Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir, has commended the strong bilateral relations between Sudan and Turkey across various fields. Jabir expressed gratitude for Turkey’s supportive stance for Sudan in both international and regional forums, as well as its support for the Sudanese people during times of conflict.
According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting at his office in Port Sudan with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, Lt. Gen. Jabir emphasized Sudan’s eagerness to enhance joint cooperation with Turkey. He highlighted the importance of promoting and developing relations to benefit the citizens of both nations.
The Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, reaffirmed Turkey’s ongoing support for Sudan, including the provision of humanitarian aid, particularly following the liberation of Khartoum. Ambassador Yildiz also informed the TSC Member about the outcomes of Turkey’s participation in the London Conference, emphasizing Turkey’s commitment to supporting Sudan and its interests on both international and regional platforms.
