Khartoum: Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra has urged citizens to return to their homeland, emphasizing that their return plays a crucial role in supporting the ongoing efforts towards stability and security in Sudan. He expressed his hopes for the returnees to contribute positively to the nation’s development and peace-building processes.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister offered prayers for Allah Almighty to bestow mercy and forgiveness upon the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, wish a speedy recovery for the wounded, and secure the release of prisoners. These sentiments reflect the government’s commitment to addressing the consequences of recent conflicts and fostering national healing.
In his address at the 30th Briefing Conference of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism, organized by the Sudan News Agency in Khartoum, which was attended by the Minister of Interior and honored by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt. Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, the Minister outlined the Ministry of Interior’s initiatives to uphold security and resume essential services for citizens in Khartoum State. The conference served as a platform to highlight the government’s efforts in restoring normalcy and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
