Khartoum: The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, along with several general Directorates, has returned to Khartoum, signaling the beginning of operations at the Federal Ministry’s headquarters in Khartoum State. This marks the conclusion of the final arrangements and requirements necessary for establishing a secure work environment.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim commended the dedication and resilience of the staff during the previous period. He expressed hopes for the success of the armed forces, safety for the people of Sudan, and ongoing progress in health development.
A joint meeting took place at Dr. Ibrahim’s office on Nile Street, with leaders from both the Federal and Khartoum State Ministries of Health in attendance. The meeting focused on executing the official return plan and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the transition is effective and orderly. Discussions also touched on addressing emergency and epidemic issues and the rehabilitation of hospitals.
Dr. Ibrahim highlighted the significance of resuming operations at the Ministry’s main headquarters in Khartoum. He appreciated the efforts made by the General Directorate of Financial and Administrative Affairs in preparing the headquarters and urged for the swift provision of necessary resources for the staff.
He also acknowledged the healthcare services provided from temporary locations in Kassala, Atbara, and Port Sudan during the previous period. Despite challenges, these efforts were seen as a testament to the dedication of health workers and their commitment to supporting Sudan’s health system.
