Health Minister Engages with Italian Emergency Agency to Enhance Health Services in Sudan

Khartoum: Federal Minister of Health, Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, convened with Rosella Misciu, Director of the Italian Emergency Agency, at his office in Khartoum. The meeting, attended by senior officials from the ministry, focused on pivotal issues concerning the advancement of health services in Sudan.

According to Sudan News Agency, the dialogue explored methods to enhance services at Al-Salam Heart Hospital, along with discussions on the training and capacity-building programs for the hospital's medical staff. The Minister emphasized the ministry's dedication to sustaining state support for this regional initiative and urged continued backing from United Nations agencies and donors, particularly for children's programs executed by the organization.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted Sudan's ongoing support for the African Network for Medical Excellence (ANME) and its commitment to hosting the network's activities within the country. This engagement was part of the Ministry of Health's persistent efforts to forge effective international partnerships that bolster the development of the health sector and elevate medical services.
