Khartoum: The Governor of the Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour Mahmoud, conducted field visits to inspect the headquarters and accommodations of the sports delegations participating in the Port Sudan Group, as part of the Premier League competitions for the 2026 season.
According to Sudan News Agency, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour was accompanied by members of the state security committee, leaders of the local football federation, and the Supreme Committee for Supporting the Eastern Group during his visit. The governor provided support to the participating delegations under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Supporting the Eastern Group, in coordination with the Port Sudan locality through the Foodstuffs Committee, to ensure that all obstacles are overcome for the competing teams.
The governor's tour included visits to several locations, starting with the Al-Mirghani Kassala and Kober Bahri teams in the Al-Thawra neighborhood. He continued with visits to the Al-Taqaddum Club and Al-Shurta Al-Qadarif teams, and also inspected the Hilal Al-Sahel team at the Al-Sahel Club. The visits concluded with a meeting with the delegation of Al-Hilal Capital Club.
This initiative was met with a positive response and satisfaction in sporting circles, as the governor and the security committee were warmly received in appreciation of their role in supporting sports teams, facilitating the state's hosting of national sporting events, and fostering an environment of fair competition.
