Paris: Governor of the Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi, met on Wednesday at the French National Assembly with MP Christophe Marion, a prominent European voice advocating against acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, Minnawi stated on his Facebook page that the parliamentary momentum has marked a significant turning point, helping elevate Sudan's crisis to the forefront of European political priorities. The humanitarian and security situation in Sudan is gaining increasing attention from governments across Europe.
He added that the meeting is part of efforts to advance more effective international action to halt violations and protect civilians.
