Khartoum: Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim announced the merging of Al-Sayyad Mobile Force with Al-Hajanah Army in Al-Obeid, which has successfully broken the siege imposed by rebel gangs on the city. Dr. Ibrahim expressed gratitude, attributing the victory to divine support and the determination of the armed and joint forces.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim shared in a Facebook post that this strategic victory marks a significant advancement in their efforts to achieve a greater victory. It is seen as a crucial step towards lifting the siege on ‘Fasher Al-Sultan’ and liberating other occupied cities in Darfur. Furthermore, the victory is expected to facilitate the delivery of food supplies and essential medicines to the states of Kordofan, which have been isolated due to the looting activities of militia gangs along the roads.
