New york: Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Sering Modou Njie, on the sidelines of his participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Salim expressed his gratitude and appreciation for The Gambia’s supportive positions regarding Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, peace, and development. He affirmed the strength of historical ties, shared interests, and common destiny between the two countries.
The two sides also agreed on the importance of sovereignty and independence, the need to enhance African cooperation and integration, and to work towards a more just international system that guarantees Africa its rightful position within the United Nations and other international organizations.
