Finance State Minister Leads Sudan Delegation at Africa CDC Meetings in Addis Ababa

Addis ababa: State Minister at the Ministry of Finance, Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim, led the Sudanese delegation at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) meetings in Addis Ababa from February 11 to 15, 2026. The invitation came from President of the African Development Bank for finance and health ministers to participate in events held on the sidelines of the 39th African Union Summit under the theme: 'Health Sector Reform: Advancing Digitalization, Local Industry, and Sustainable Supply Chains.'

According to Sudan News Agency, the delegation included Director-General of International Health at the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Alaa Al-Tayib Madathir, and the African Development Bank Liaison at the Ministry of Finance, Kowal Al-War Majok.

State Minister Abdel-Daim stated that the meetings offered a platform to highlight the challenges facing Sudan's health sector in the post-conflict phase, particularly amid funding pressures and increasing needs.
