Cairo: Minister of Energy, Engineer Consultant Al-Mutassim Ibrahim, paid a visit to Schneider Electric in Cairo, a French company operating in the field of electricity and transformer manufacturing. The Minister discussed with the company’s President, Sebastien Raiz, and the Regional Director, Engineer Mohamed Al-Satouhi, the possibility of providing Sudan with transformers through the maintenance and supply of the country’s needs in power transmission and distribution stations.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister appreciated the company’s efforts, affirming the ministry’s readiness to overcome obstacles and enhance cooperation in the electricity sector. In the same context, Engineer Montasir Abdelrahman, Director General of Distribution Company, stated that the visit came within the efforts of the Electricity Distribution Company to provide electricity and facilitate the return of citizens to their homes in the capital and the states.
Mr. Raiz affirmed the company’s readiness to meet all Sudan’s requirements in the services it provides, noting that the company’s leadership has directed support to educational institutions to ensure the presence of a new generation of engineers capable of handling the company’s equipment.
