Energy Minister: Fuel is a Strategic Commodity; State Continues Import Regulation

Khartoum: Minister of Energy Eng. Al-Mu'tasim Ibrahim Ahmed emphasized the strategic importance of national companies in the fuel supply chain, covering everything from importation to distribution. He underscored the necessity of maintaining availability and price stability, given fuel's critical role in the national economy.

According to Sudan News Agency, during an inspection of the Nile Petroleum Company headquarters in Khartoum, Eng. Al-Mu'tasim Ibrahim Ahmed highlighted the company's pivotal role in closing supply gaps and ensuring that fuel is accessible nationwide. This effort is aligned with the ministry's regulations on controlling fuel imports. He commended the performance of the company's staff and encouraged continuous professional development to bolster national contributions.

General Manager of Nile Petroleum, Dr. Hisham Taj El-Sir, elaborated on the company's capabilities in fuel import operations, as well as its storage and distribution capacities. He noted ongoing efforts to expedite fuel delivery from the Al-Gaili, Madani, and Al-Houdi depots to all states, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the nation.
