Khartoum: Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed Mohamed Tahir, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), has expressed her appreciation for the country’s leadership’s commitment to advancing the role of women amid challenging times. She acknowledged the sacrifices women have made throughout history.
According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting with women from the Red Sea State, Dr. Nawara emphasized that her appointment to the TSC is a significant honor for women, particularly for those from Eastern Sudan. She encouraged women to contribute to societal development and stability.
Dr. Nawara welcomed proposals from women leaders and businesswomen, committing to implement strategies for societal progress. She described the meeting as a crucial step in enhancing community partnerships between women’s leadership and their constituents in Eastern Sudan.
Enaam Abdel-Latif Sati, Secretary of the Red Sea Businesswomen and Women’s Representative in the Sudanese Businesspersons and Employers Federation, expressed the Red Sea State women’s support for Dr. Nawara. She highlighted the significant roles women play in strategic positions within the state, contributing to community service and development.
