Khartoum: The Defense Industries Organization has issued a clarification statement denying allegations circulated in the media and social media platforms regarding an indebtedness owed to Ashraf Said-Ahmed Al-Hussein (Al-Kardinal) by the Defense Industries Organization. Some well-known media websites and newspapers published false information without contacting the concerned administrations within the Defense Industries Organization.
According to Sudan News Agency, the statement added that the Defense Industries Organization is a well-established national institution subject to government oversight and operates with strict governance and financial controls. The organization categorically affirms that Ashraf Said-Ahmed (Al-Kardinal) does not owe it or any of its affiliated companies any debt. The organization added that the information raised is purely false and baseless, and the Defense Industries Organization has nothing to do with what was reported in the media regarding the summoning of the aforementioned person, adding that the organization has no jurisdiction over summonses or investigations.
The organization underscored that judicial institutions are the only place to prove claims and rights. It called on all media outlets and opinion leaders to exercise caution, ensure accuracy and credibility, and verify sources and the veracity of information before engaging in, publishing, or disseminating it. It affirmed that all necessary legal measures will be taken against anyone involved in publishing or disseminating such allegations and rumors.
