Khartoum: Darfur Region Governor Minni Arko Minnawi returned to Khartoum on Saturday following a tour of Germany, France, and several Western European countries, where he held meetings and participated in activities related to national and regional issues.
According to Sudan News Agency, he was received at Khartoum Airport by officials of the Darfur Regional Government and leaders of his movement. They welcomed his return and reaffirmed their support for efforts to promote stability and advance development and peace in Darfur and Sudan.
In the coming days, Minnawi is scheduled to hold a series of meetings on political, development, and security issues in the region.
