Khartoum: As part of the 'Government of Hope' efforts to strengthen strategic planning, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers organized a workshop on developing the frameworks for the five-year strategic plan (2026-2030). Addressing the opening session, the Cabinet Secretary-General Ali Mohamed Ali paid tribute to the Armed Forces and supporting troops, noting that reconstruction efforts require coordinated action across all state institutions to achieve stability. He stated that the workshop reflects the government's commitment to improving executive performance through strategic planning, given its central role in achieving comprehensive national development, affirming adoption of the workshop's outcomes and recommendations.
According to Sudan News Agency, strategic expert Professor Mohamed Hussein Abu Salih outlined key features of the plan, focusing on comprehensive reconstruction, sustainable peace, repositioning development projects nationwide, and generating real revenues through productive sectors that create employment opportunities and support local communities. He highlighted the importance of integrated strategies and enhanced coordination across government institutions to develop both service and productive sectors. The workshop also addresses practical applications in areas such as digital transformation, good governance, social development, agriculture, livestock, and mining.
The two-day workshop is attended by planning directors from various government ministries.
