Khartoum: The Council of Ministers held its regular meeting Sunday in Port Sudan, chaired by the Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, during which it reviewed a number of issues related to the implementation of the Government of Hope programs and projects.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Council approved the Banking Act 2025, which was presented by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBoS). This new legislation is part of the government’s broader efforts to reform the financial sector and enhance economic stability.
In addition to legislative matters, the Council also focused on the health situation in the country. A report was presented highlighting the current challenges, specifically the prevalence of dengue fever and malaria. The Minister of Health detailed the efforts being made to strengthen the health system and control these diseases to prevent further outbreaks.
Commendation was given by the Council to the Ministry of Health and other relevant bodies for their ongoing efforts in mitigating the spread of these diseases. The proactive measures taken by the health authorities have been crucial in managing the health crisis and safeguarding public health.
