Burhan Engages with Egyptian Intelligence Chief on Bilateral Relations and Regional Security

Khartoum: The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held a meeting with the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Minister Major General Hassan Mahmoud Rashad. The discussion, attended by the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, focused on enhancing the cooperation between Sudan and Egypt.According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting began with Major General Rashad conveying greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, along with his wishes for peace, security, and stability for the Sudanese people. The dialogue underscored the strong ties between the two nations and explored avenues for furthering these relations.A significant portion of the discussion was dedicated to collaborative efforts in combating terrorism and ensuring the security of the Red Sea and the region. Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability through joint security measures.The meeting also addressed humanitarian concerns, particularly arrangements to support relief operations in Sudan. The aim is to ensure that aid is delivered safely and effectively to those in need, highlighting a shared commitment to humanitarian efforts.
