Beja Congress Praises Efforts of Countries Supporting Sudan

Port-Sudan: The leader of the Beja Congress, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, has praised the stances of all the countries that supported Sudan under the conditions facing the country. This came in an address given by Musa Mohammed at the press conference held by the party on Sunday, in the presence of a large number of leaders headed by the leader Sheba Dirar at the Marina Hotel in Port-Sudan regarding the political situation and briefing about the party’s military force’s preparations.

According to Sudan News Agency, Musa emphasized the need for a comprehensive dialogue aimed at achieving stability in security, political, economic, and social spheres. He stressed the importance of combining local efforts to fulfill citizens’ aspirations for a stable life. Musa highlighted that the current stage requires an inclusive dialogue involving all segments of society to produce outcomes that will contribute to uniting Sudan and mending its social fabric.

Musa further stated the significance of supporting the Armed Forces to strengthen the Sudanese state. He enumerated the benefits gained through the Eastern Sudan Agreement, which has facilitated balanced development across all eastern localities. Looking ahead, Musa announced that the next stage will focus on reorganizing and revitalizing the work of the Beja Congress Party.

The Executive Director of the Eastern Sudan Reconstruction Fund highlighted the Fund’s efforts in electricity projects, which have reached over 600 villages. These projects include generating stations, though some remain out of service due to the challenges faced by the Fund. Musa also mentioned infrastructure developments, noting that three roads are 62% complete, and while some bridges have been delivered, others remain unfinished due to funding shortages since the COVID-19 pandemic and the fall of the previous regime, as well as a lack of commitment from the Ministry of Finance during the transitional government.
