Khartoum: The Spokesman of the Armed Forces, Brigadier Nabil Abdulla, announced that the Armed Forces have successfully taken control of the Jaily Refinery and military manufacturing sites in the North Jaily area. This control follows the expulsion of the Al-Dagalo militia, which has been described as a terrorist group. The area has been declared free from any unlawful agents or elements.
According to Sudan News Agency, Brig. Nabil emphasized that despite the militia’s actions of burning the refinery, the resilience and determination of the Sudanese people remain strong. He asserted that the people are capable of not only rebuilding the damaged infrastructure but also constructing additional refineries in the future. The Armed Forces have coordinated efforts between different divisions, advancing from Wadi Saidna through Khartoum North and reaching Khartoum successfully. The forces continue to target remaining militia pockets within the region.
Brig. Nabil paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s unity and pride. He accused the Al-Dagalo militia of violating international laws, committing widespread atrocities against civilians, and disrespecting diplomatic agreements. These acts included looting and exploiting protected diplomatic sites, actions condemned under the Vienna Convention on International Relations.
The militia’s use of hospitals and civilian homes as operational bases was highlighted as a serious breach of international law. The Armed Forces have documented these violations in detailed reports, which have been presented by Sudan’s representative to the United Nations Security Council.
Brig. Nabil commended the efforts and resilience of the Sixth Infantry Division, the People’s Resistance, and volunteers who collectively repelled more than 179 attacks. The Armed Forces inflicted significant losses on the militia, both in terms of personnel and equipment. The largest attack by the militia and its mercenaries was reportedly countered effectively, resulting in substantial losses for the enemy.
The Armed Forces remain committed to pursuing the Rapid Support militia, ensuring their expulsion from Sudanese territory and reaffirming control over the nation’s lands.
