Northern state: The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries conducted an inspection of the Export Development Group's projects focused on animal production. During an extensive meeting held at the group's premises, the Minister reviewed the plans and upcoming projects designed to promote self-sufficiency and the export of dairy and meat products, with a total of twenty initiatives lined up for the year 2026.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister presented future strategies through ten specific projects during the meeting. These projects aim to enhance goat breeding, boost fish production, rehabilitate export containers, establish feed factories, and support rural development. Additionally, there is an emphasis on improving leather resources and integrating livestock into the agricultural cycle. These efforts are intended to strengthen partnerships between the ministry and the Northern State, as well as to develop animal production to a level where it can support self-sufficiency and facilitate exports, thereby contributing hard currency to the state treasury.
In another development during his Wednesday visit to the Northern State, Minister Al-Mansouri received a briefing on the security situation in a meeting with the Security Committee, led by Northern State Wali, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Abdulhamid Ibrahim. The Wali assured that the Security Committee is fully coordinated and prepared to address any security threats, ensuring the protection of the nation and its citizens.
