Al-eisir: The Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Khalid Al-Eisir, affirmed that the Martyr Othman Makawi Centre was a vital partner in all media work during the war, playing a key role in raising awareness of Sudan's situation and shaping international perceptions.
According to Sudan News Agency, during an inspection visit to the Centre in Omdurman today, Al-Eisir stressed the depth of the partnership with the Centre, calling for its preservation for future generations and pledging full support. He noted that the Ministry's work during the war relied heavily on the Centre, which served as their primary news source and oversaw international missions in a disciplined manner, adding that the Centre's presence will endure as long as Sudan exists.
Al-Eisir added, 'We are a state that gives media its due more than most countries.' He highlighted that the Centre operated under extremely challenging conditions during the war and that its cooperation continues to benefit the Sudanese state.
For his part, the Director of the Centre, Colonel Dr. Ahmed Yousuf, presented the Centre's work and activities, particularly during the war, expressing appreciation for the Minister's visit.
