Khartoum: Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities Khalid Al-Eisir has called on citizens to return to the capital, Khartoum, with honour and dignity, based on their personal choice and whenever they deem the time appropriate.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Eisir issued a press statement emphasizing that all citizens are the rightful owners of the country and are free to return whenever they wish. He stressed that the government is committed to meeting their demands and supporting their return initiatives.
Al-Eisir affirmed that the cities of Omdurman, Khartoum North (Bahri), and Khartoum are now secure and that normal life has resumed. He stated that Sudan deserves the return of its people and their contribution to reconstruction, building, and development. The government welcomes all citizens and is committed to providing services for everyone as part of its responsibility.
He further noted the efforts of many patriotic citizens who are assisting the government in rehabilitating infrastructure and repairing damage caused by militias, without seeking recognition or revealing their identities.
