El-Fashir: Al-Shou’la Sports Club in El-Fashir has mourned the death of the Roman Catholic Church pastor in El-Fashir, His Eminence Father Luka Jomo Banu, who died last week from wounds sustained in the bombing of the church by Al-Dagalo terrorist militia in El-Fashir, in Al-Athama neighborhood near El-Fashir market.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Sho’la Club family expressed its condolences to the Diocese of El-Obeid, the Parish of St. Mary in El-Fashir, his family, friends, neighbors, fellow priests, loved ones, and acquaintances. The late “Luka” was recognized for his efforts to promote the spirit of tolerance and the values of justice, symbolizing giving, love, peace, and coexistence among all.
Al-Sho’la Sports Club family extended its heartfelt condolences to the people of North Darfur State and all members of the Catholic Church in Sudan. Christian Solidarity Worldwide had previously announced the killing of Father Luca Jomo, a priest of the Roman Catholic Church in El-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur State, by Rapid Support Forces fire.
