Port Sudan: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has called on those affected by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia massacres in Wad Al-Noura, Al-Tikeina, and other areas to pursue justice through legal and official channels. Emphasizing the importance of adhering to lawful processes, Al-Burhan stated, “We are not a militia, we are an army with systems and regulations.”
According to Sudan News Agency, during a mass rally at the Port Sudan Corniche following his African tour, General Al-Burhan underscored Sudan’s inclusivity, asserting that all citizens are equal partners in the nation. He committed to rebuilding Sudan in a manner distinct from the vision of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC). Al-Burhan also paid homage to the martyrs, advocating for the replacement of officials’ pictures with those of the martyrs, acknowledging their supreme sacrifices.
The Commander-in-Chief praised the unwavering commitment of the Sudanese people, attributing daily victories to their sacrifices. He commended the Armed Forces and supporting forces for their dedication and promised the return of families and citizens to Khartoum, Nyala, and Al-Geneina with a sense of pride.
Al-Burhan announced efforts to eradicate the militia presence, noting the deployment of advance forces in North Darfur and Bahri. He extended an olive branch to those willing to lay down arms, warning that those who choose conflict will face defeat at the hands of the Armed Forces. He urged community leaders to prevent their sons from joining the conflict, stating that aggressors against the Sudanese people would face dire consequences.
