Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on Monday attended the graduation ceremony of new officers at Karari University. The graduates comprised the 25th batch from the Faculty of Engineering, the 9th batch from the Faculty of Medicine, the 10th batch from the Faculty of Pharmacy, the 10th batch from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, and the 24th batch of the Naval College.
According to Sudan News Agency, addressing the ceremony, General Al-Burhan affirmed the commitment of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the people to continue the 'Battle of Dignity' until the defeat of the terrorist rebel militia. He emphasized that there is no alternative but to pursue the battle to its conclusive end or for the enemy to surrender.
Al-Burhan reiterated his offer of pardon and amnesty for fighters who have been misled, stating that the 'doors of repentance are open.' He encouraged those who took up arms due to incitement or misinformation to lay down their weapons and return, welcoming all who choose to stand with the nation. He noted that some armed groups have already joined the Armed Forces against the enemy.
In his address to politicians, the TSC President warned that continued hostility and false accusations against the army and the people would face accountability. He invited those with a genuine desire to return to the path of truth.
Al-Burhan outlined plans to build a 'smart army' grounded in science and technology, emphasizing the importance of information and technology in modern warfare. He revealed the Armed Forces' intention to enhance scientific research in aviation, drones, mobile weapons systems, and defense systems, and to attract young engineering and technical talents to bolster military capabilities.
He praised the resilience of the Sudanese people and their support for the Armed Forces in the struggle against the Al-Dagalo militia, which he described as one of the most challenging battles faced by the Sudanese.
The TSC President reaffirmed the military's commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty, ensuring security and stability, and remaining free from partisan or tribal affiliations, under the motto: 'Allah- Nation.'
Al-Burhan commended Karari University's role in providing the Armed Forces with skilled professionals across various fields. He congratulated the graduates on their achievement and highlighted their national duty to protect the state's resources, security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial unity.
