Al-Burhan Asserts Independence from Political Groups, Focuses on Sudanese People’s Welfare

Abu hamad: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, paid tribute to officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the armed forces, supporting units, and mobilized volunteers for their sacrifices during the ‘Battle of Dignity’ in defense of the Sudanese people’s honor and dignity.

According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burhan spoke during the annual Ramadan iftar organized by the Nazir (Chieftain) of the Rubatab tribe, Khalifa Al-Sheikh Al-Saiem, in Al-Gezira Mograt area of Abu Hamad in River Nile State. He highlighted the peaceful coexistence prevailing in the state, which should serve as a model for other states across the country. He mentioned that people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and tribes have merged into a cohesive national fabric, with the state receiving large numbers of citizens displaced by the war.

Al-Burhan pointed out that gold mining has become a principal pillar of the national economy and a key factor in sustaining the Sudanese state, despite numerous challenges facing workers in the sector. He directed the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company to ensure the optimal use of corporate social responsibility funds to support local communities with service and development projects.

The TSC President emphasized the state’s objective to liberate Sudan from rebellion, asserting that rebels aim to seize the state and its resources. He stressed that the army and the Sudanese people stand united to confront such plans, declaring that their project is to cleanse the country of any entity seeking to take over its resources.

Al-Burhan firmly stated that the government does not recognize the Muslim Brotherhood, the National Congress, or the Communists, but only recognizes the Sudanese people. He reiterated the commitment of the army to safeguard the nation’s dignity and continue the ‘Battle of Dignity’ until the rebellion is eradicated, and the country is cleared of rebel forces. He declared that there would be no truce, ceasefire, or reconciliation until the rebels lay down their arms.

Additionally, Al-Burhan mentioned that politicians currently abroad could return to Sudan if they align with what he described as the ‘right path,’ indicating they would be welcomed under those circumstances.
