El-alamein: Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi received President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, on Monday evening in El-Alamein City, during his visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring avenues for joint cooperation to meet the aspirations of both nations towards achieving integration and mutual development.
According to Sudan News Agency, the leaders reviewed the developments in Sudan, particularly reconstruction efforts and regional and international initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability in the country. They also addressed regional issues affecting the Nile Basin and Horn of Africa, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and joint action to ensure water security and adherence to international law to benefit all basin countries.
The TSC President expressed appreciation for the robust relations between Sudan and Egypt, highlighting his commitment to further strength
ening these ties. He acknowledged Egypt’s supportive role in international and regional forums, its assistance to the Sudanese people, and its provision of humanitarian aid during challenging times.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi reiterated his country’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, security, and stability. He assured Egypt’s readiness to enhance joint cooperation to achieve the mutual interests of both countries.
