Port sudan: In a strategic meeting aimed at enhancing media coordination, Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khalid Al-Aiser, engaged in discussions with the Wali of Central Darfur State, Mustafa Tambour. The meeting, which was also attended by the Undersecretary of Media, Sumaya Al-Hadi, focused on documenting the crimes perpetrated by the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, the discussions revolved around the development of a comprehensive media plan to effectively document and disseminate violations, especially those targeting infrastructure and civilians in Central Darfur. A proposal was also made to establish an official media platform where state walis could communicate post-war recovery plans to the public, highlighting the necessity of keeping citizens informed about ongoing efforts.
Tambour emphasized the critical need for thorough documentation of RSF militia violations across the state’s nine localities. He pointed out that the open borders with Chad and the Central African Republic have exacerbated crimes against civilians, necessitating heightened media coordination to bring these issues to light.
The Wali affirmed that Central Darfur State would continue its collaboration with the Ministry of Information, utilizing its official spokesperson to present the facts to both local and international audiences. He commended Minister Al-Aiser for his unwavering support of the Battle of Dignity, noting the minister’s vital role during a time when many doubted the armed forces’ capacity to protect the nation.
Tambour concluded by underscoring the media’s significant role in the Battle for Dignity, Steadfastness, and Crossing. He expressed confidence in Al-Aiser’s capability to lead the media efforts in making a meaningful impact during this crucial period.
