Airstrikes in El-Fashir Result in Heavy Casualties for Al-Dagalo Militia

El-Fashir: Airstrikes conducted by the 6th Infantry Division forces in El-Fashir have resulted in significant losses for the rebel Al-Dagalo militia. The attacks, carried out using drones on the militia’s southern hub in El-Fashir city, led to the deaths of 17 members of the group and injuries to several others. Additionally, five combat vehicles were destroyed in the operation.

According to Sudan News Agency, the 6th Infantry Division reported in a Sunday briefing that their armed forces are making steady progress on all combat fronts. As part of ongoing operations, forces successfully targeted militia hideouts in the eastern neighborhoods on Saturday, resulting in the destruction of two vehicles and ammunition stores, along with other vehicles found in abandoned residences.

The 6th Infantry Division emphasized that their continued advance has solidified control over combat areas. The division noted that their forces are maintaining high morale and demonstrating strong cohesion and cooperation.

The division also highlighted the impact of a separate airstrike conducted by the Air Force on Friday against the militia in Nyala. This operation has led to internal conflicts and defections within the militia, as well as the displacement of citizens from the eastern to western neighborhoods due to ongoing artillery shelling and gunfire from the militia.

The 6th Division added that these events are occurring amidst a rise in crimes, including theft from citizens’ homes and properties.
