Port sudan: Undersecretary and Acting Minister of Justice, Howaida Ali Awad Al-Karim, met with the Chinese Charg© d’Affaires to Sudan, Mr. Zhang Xiang, at her office in Port Sudan on Tuesday.
According to Sudan News Agency, Acting Minister Al-Karim praised the strong relations between Sudan and China, describing their partnership as long-standing and evolving. She commended China’s supportive stances for Sudan in various international forums, highlighting the mutual benefits of their cooperation.
The meeting addressed Sudan’s ratification of the International Mediation Organization Agreement, which was signed last May in Hong Kong. This agreement is expected to aid in resolving international disputes through amicable dialogue, utilizing mediation as a flexible and cost-effective mechanism that promotes fairness and justice.
Mr. Zhang acknowledged the Ministry of Justice’s efforts in concluding agreements, contracts, and negotiations. Both parties agreed on the importance of exchanging expertise and building capacities in the legal field, aiming to enhance trade and development relations between Sudan and China.
