El-Fashir: The command of the 6th Infantry Division in El-Fashir has urged citizens to ignore misleading messages and rumors being spread by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia about an imminent attack on the city and claims of encirclement.
According to Sudan News Agency, the 6th Division has labeled these claims as false, intended to incite panic and displacement among the populace. The division has encouraged citizens to report any suspicious movements or individuals and stressed the importance of verifying the identities of those in military attire, as not all are affiliated with regular or joint forces.
In a press release, the 6th Infantry Division announced the successful destruction of two ZS vehicles carrying weapons and ammunition through drone strikes. These vehicles were reportedly en route to locations intended to serve as support and supply points for the militias.
The operation resulted in the elimination of all personnel aboard the vehicles, marking significant progress in securing the area. The 6th Infantry Division has continued intensive operations in El-Fashir neighborhoods, with the support of joint forces, popular resistance, and mobilized residents, to prevent infiltration and protect citizens’ property.
The division reported that rebel militias launched several drones targeting areas within El-Fashir, but failed to hit any significant targets due to the alertness of the forces. The 6th Division confirmed that El-Fashir is experiencing relative stability, with the security situation fully under control. The forces remain cohesive and coordinated in their efforts to safeguard the city and its people.
