El-fashir: The 6th Infantry Division in El-Fashir has reported the successful repulsion of the 224th attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, which took place on Tuesday. The militia attempted to infiltrate the city’s southwestern outskirts, but were met with a robust defense.
According to Sudan News Agency, the 6th Infantry Division confirmed that the attack led to heavy losses in lives and equipment for the RSF militia, with the remaining forces retreating in disarray. Despite this setback, the militia continued its aggression by shelling residential neighborhoods in El-Fashir using 120-caliber artillery. This resulted in several civilians sustaining moderate injuries, who were subsequently transferred to hospitals and medical centers for treatment.
The 6th Infantry Division emphasized the resilience of El-Fashir, crediting the city’s defense to the determined men fighting under its banner. They reassured citizens that the armed forces in Fashir El-Sultan remain united and are determined to defend their land and honor, vowing to fight to the death if necessary.
Furthermore, the division congratulated the Sudanese people on recent victories in the Kordofan axis, which included the liberation of Om Mandarabah and Rehaid Al-Nuba areas. These victories were achieved after fierce battles, adding to the reputation of the national forces.
In a separate development, the 6th Division announced that the Ministry of Health in North Darfur State received over 30,000 vaccination program brochures and vaccines, marking a boost for the health sector amid ongoing conflict.
