Khartoum:Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, has confirmed the government's ongoing support for Sudanese women, emphasizing their significant role in national affairs.
According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting with the National Sudanese Women's Authority delegation, Vice-President Agar praised the Authority's efforts in addressing the impacts of the war. The discussion highlighted the Authority's vision and activities, as well as its future strategies.
Advisor to the Authority, Ms. Tagwa Siddig Al-Tahir½, shared that the meeting focused on Sudanese women's involvement in national reconciliation and dialogue initiatives. She stated that Agar committed to backing the Authority's training and capacity-building programs.
The National Sudanese Women's Authority, which has been instrumental in supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces and displaced women, was created in response to the War of Dignity's aftermath. Initially based in Port Sudan, the Authority recently moved its operations to the capital, Khartoum.
