Security and Defense Council Commends Military Successes Across Sudan

Khartoum: The Security and Defense Council convened its regular meeting in Khartoum, led by President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. The meeting saw participation from all members as it assessed the nation's security status.

According to Sudan News Agency, Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Hassan Daoud Kabroun informed the press that the council applauded the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied forces for their achievements on multiple fronts, particularly in South Kordofan, Blue Nile State, and Darfur. The council underscored the necessity of upholding the law, respecting national sovereignty, and maintaining human rights.

The council highlighted the need to ensure the provision of essential services, especially electricity and water, for citizens returning to the country. It also instructed relevant authorities to manage the movement of armed individuals and military vehicles within cities and markets.

Additionally, the council called for the establishment of measures to regulate security cells in localities and identify collaborators with the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, focusing on investigations related to these individuals. The Security and Defense Council paid homage to those who lost their lives in the 'Battle of Dignity,' wishing a swift recovery for the injured and the safe return of prisoners and missing persons.
