Omdurman:Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), emphasized that countering hate speech and healing the national psyche are vital for Sudan's social cohesion and unity.
According to Sudan News Agency, Jabir addressed the Emotional Recovery Festival, noting that wars threaten not only military and economic structures but also aim to dismantle social communities. He underscored the necessity of rejecting hate speech and promoting national solidarity.
Jabir highlighted the role of young people as the future of Sudan, expressing confidence in their ability to aid in nation-building and healing the national psyche. He pointed to education, culture, and the arts as crucial tools in combating division and fostering communication among the Sudanese.
He also mentioned the importance of developing educational curricula and programs that support social unity and cohesion. Plans are in place to expand community recovery activities throughout Khartoum State.
Jabir commended the organizers of the festival and the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' group, acknowledging the impact of artists and creatives in uniting emotions and enhancing communication among the people of Sudan.
In closing, he expressed optimism for Sudan's future, stating, "The Sudanese nation will accept nothing less than victory," and prayed for the country's security, stability, and peace.
