Lianyungang: Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Babiker Samra Mustafa participated in the Third Ministerial Dialogue between China and East African countries on law enforcement and security cooperation, held in the Chinese city of Lianyungang with the participation of ministers and senior officials responsible for law enforcement and security from China and East African countries.
According to Sudan News Agency, the dialogue was held as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between China and East African countries in law enforcement, combating crime, promoting security and stability, exchanging expertise and experience, and building security and police capacities to address common security challenges.
Sudan's participation underscored its commitment to strengthening security and police relations with China and East African countries and developing frameworks for joint cooperation that serve mutual interests and support efforts to promote security and stability in the region.
The dialogue also provided an important opportunity to exchange views on current security issues, strengthen communication among relevant institutions, and explore new areas of cooperation in combating cross-border crime, terrorism, and organized crime, as well as in training, capacity building, and information and expertise exchange.
The Interior Minister's participation came as part of his involvement in Chinese events and forums focused on international cooperation in security and law enforcement. It reflects Sudan's interest in expanding cooperation with China in security and police fields and benefiting from China's advanced expertise and experience in capacity building and developing security systems.
The Third Ministerial Dialogue between China and East African Countries on Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation is an important platform for strengthening Chinese-African partnership in security and law enforcement and promoting dialogue and joint coordination to address challenges threatening peace, security, and stability.
