Khartoum: Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and leader of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), and Sheikh Musa Hilal, chairman of the Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council, have reaffirmed the importance of preserving Sudan's unity and safeguarding its sovereignty. They emphasized rejecting all forms of foreign interference in the country's internal affairs during a meeting in Khartoum.
According to Sudan News Agency, the leaders highlighted the necessity of resolving Sudan's crisis through an inclusive dialogue grounded in national will and aspirations of the Sudanese people. They advocated for continued support of the Sudanese Armed Forces and other supporting forces to restore security, stability, and state authority across the country.
Both leaders also called for efforts to combat hate speech and reject violence and social fragmentation. They stressed that social peace and peaceful coexistence, based on reconciliation and tolerance, are essential for achieving security and stability in Sudan.
The meeting concluded with an agreement between the two leaders to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council and the Justice and Equality Movement. This collaboration aims to serve the national interest and reinforce unity amidst current challenges facing the country.
