Omdurman:The Ministry of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism, in collaboration with the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' group, organized the Emotional Recovery Festival on Nile Street in Omdurman. The event, held under the slogan 'A homeland for all its sons and hearts where there is no place for hatred,' saw broad participation from both officials and the public, creating a national and artistic atmosphere that highlighted cohesion and recovery.
According to Sudan News Agency, the festival featured artistic performances, national songs, and theatrical works that emphasized emotional recovery and evoked values of resilience and community solidarity. Numerous artists participated by presenting a collection of national songs.
The festival was attended by key figures such as Transitional Sovereignty Council member Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism Khalid Ali Al-Aisir, the Minister of Justice, the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, the Governor of Khartoum, and members of the Sudan Liberation Movement, along with other officials, leaders, creators, artists, and citizens.
Speeches were delivered by Professor Khaled Ali Al-Aisar and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, who emphasized the crucial role of culture and arts in fostering social cohesion and aiding in overcoming the psychological and social impacts of war.
The festival highlighted the importance of culture and the arts as vital components in the national recovery process. These elements play a significant role in restoring morale, strengthening hope, and consolidating the values of brotherhood and national belonging.
