Omdurman:Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, highlighted the importance of confronting hate speech and restoring national conscience as key elements for enhancing social cohesion and maintaining the unity of Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, Jaber spoke at the Emotional Recovery Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Tourism, and Antiquities alongside the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' group under the slogan 'A homeland for all its sons and hearts in which there is no place for hatred.' The event was attended by prominent figures including Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris and Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Darf, among others.
Jaber underscored the need to examine the foundations of national unity and nation-building with a scientific approach to reject hate speech and restore the Sudanese conscience. He paid tribute to the martyrs and front-line fighters, expressing a desire for swift victory.
He also warned of the destructive nature of hate speech, emphasizing the youth's role in nation-building and restoring conscience. He praised the entities involved in organizing the festival for supporting community recovery initiatives, which he described as vital for national progress.
Jaber thanked the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' group for upholding the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz's values of love and communication and for their ongoing community involvement. He stressed the significance of education and culture in overcoming division and encouraging unity.
He concluded by acknowledging the contributions of artists and participants, highlighting the unifying power of arts and music in Sudanese society. He expressed hope for peace and stability in Sudan.
