Dongola:A delegation from the Darfur Regional Government is conducting a tour from Dongola to Amtar and Khartoum to prepare a comprehensive report on the conditions and needs of displaced individuals from Darfur in the Northern State. The aim is to establish new support routes for those affected.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Humanitarian Aid Coordinator and Director General of Social Welfare, Engineer Abdul-Baqi Muhammad Hamid, confirmed the tour during a meeting with neighborhood representatives in the Northern State. He commended the Northern State Coordination Office for its high level of organization and thorough documentation, emphasizing that accurate records are essential for fair distribution of aid.
Advisor Omda Al-Taher Adam, who leads the regional delegation, stated that the meeting addressed the conditions of the displaced persons and aimed to ensure their concerns were heard. He provided insights into their numbers across the state localities. Meanwhile, officials focusing on women and children praised the efforts of the delegates, while the delegates highlighted the issue of insufficient support.
