Omdurman:The Ministry of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism, alongside the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' group, organized the Emotional Recovery Festival at Al-Halfaya Bridge Gardens. The event was attended by key figures including the member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Engineer Bahri Advisor Ibrahim Jaber, Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, and Governor of Khartoum Ahmed Othman Hamza.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism, Professor Khalid Al-Aisir, emphasized the role of culture and arts as a cornerstone for restoring the Sudanese conscience and promoting coexistence, tolerance, and peace. He highlighted the festival as part of a broader series of cultural initiatives aimed at uniting Sudanese people around shared values and rebuilding social and cultural awareness.
Professor Al-Aisir noted that the ministry's responsibilities extend beyond preserving cultural heritage to actively contributing to societal development. He praised national figures like Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber and Professor Kamil Idris for their service to Sudan. The minister also addressed Sudanese youth, encouraging them to contribute to nation-building and affirming support for President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan as a symbol of the Sudanese state.
The festival also honored the legacy of the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, with the minister commending the 'Mahmoud in the Heart' initiative for preserving his impact on Sudanese culture. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to promoting national unity and called for collective efforts to foster social cohesion in Sudan.
