Khartoum: The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, awarded the Ambassador of the Republic of Trkiye to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, the Order of the Two Niles, First Class. This honor was bestowed on the occasion of the conclusion of Yildiz's term in Sudan, recognizing his contributions to strengthening the bonds and enhancing the longstanding bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Sudan News Agency, the award ceremony took place during Al-Burhan's reception of Ambassador Yildiz at the Republican Palace, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem, in attendance. The Turkish ambassador expressed his appreciation for the strong bilateral relations between Sudan and Trkiye, highlighting their deep-rooted historical ties. He emphasized that both countries are committed to further advancing these relations in various fields.
Ambassador Yildiz also remarked on the importance of Sudan's future, underscoring the need to preserve its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He stated that the strengthening of Sudanese institutions under the leadership of the Transitional Sovereignty Council is crucial for maintaining the state's continuity. Yildiz reiterated Trkiye's steadfast support for Sudan's stability and sovereignty, distinguishing Sudanese state institutions from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
The ambassador stressed that enduring peace in Sudan must be achieved through an inclusive process led by the Sudanese people. He expressed optimism for peace and stability in the country, emphasizing the necessity for Sudanese-led solutions to determine the nation's future.
