Merowe:Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Prof. Ismat Gurashi, held discussions with a delegation from the Supreme Council of Merowe Citizens, led by Lt. Gen. Othman Sidahmed, focusing on the challenges and needs related to the Amri National Project and the local community.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister emphasized the ministry's dedication to overcoming obstacles hindering the project's progress, highlighting the necessity of involving the local community in developing solutions. This collaboration is deemed crucial for advancing the project and achieving its development goals.
Prof. Gurashi assured that the ministry would address the project's rehabilitation needs by supplying essential spare parts and equipment. Comprehensive proposals are being prepared to resolve existing issues, aiming to enhance the project's productivity and benefits for the local population.
The minister stressed the importance of continuous coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, relevant authorities, and the local community to devise practical and sustainable solutions for boosting agricultural activity and fostering development in the region.
