Khartoum: Members of the Higher Committee for Preparing the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue stressed during a meeting on Sunday with the Sudan Youth Union in Khartoum the importance of effectively involving young people in the national dialogue tracks, describing them as 'Sudan's hope and the makers of its future.'
According to Sudan News Agency, committee member and official in charge of external and political communication Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim said that allocating 30 percent representation to youth was a legitimate right. He stressed the importance of youth participation in various dialogue committees and tracks, given their status as a key segment of society and an authentic partner in making peace and building the state.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Moneer, Coordinator of the Office for Liaison with Regional and International Countries and Organizations, praised the role played by young people, affirming that Sudanese youth both inside and outside the country are playing a leading role. He added that youth are 'Sudan's hope and the makers of its future,' stressing that their effective participation in national dialogue tracks is essential to building a more stable and consensual future.
For his part, Chairman of the Sudan Youth Union Ali Al-Hadi Babiker said the meeting represented an important step toward broadening the scope of dialogue and effectively involving young people in shaping Sudan's future. He stressed the principle of respecting differences in views and ideas and working to transform this diversity into common ground and a national vision that embraces everyone.
Chairman of the Youth Empowerment Authority Jadain Mohamed Jadain stressed the importance of prioritizing national consensus and unifying youth efforts in a manner that serves Sudan's issues and future. The participants agreed to continue youth meetings, broaden the base of participation, and submit recommendations to the Higher Committee for the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue.
