TSC President Al-Burhan Pledges Enhanced Ties with Trkiye

Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has affirmed Sudan’s commitment to strengthening its relations with Trkiye to benefit both nations and enhance joint cooperation. This development was highlighted during his meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Trkiye to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on the trajectory of bilateral relations and explored strategies to further support and develop these ties. The Turkish ambassador mentioned that the discussions included several mutual concerns, specifically addressing the siege imposed by the Rapid Support (RSF) militia on El-Fashir. He called for international intervention to lift the siege and alleviate the hardships faced by the Sudanese population.

Ambassador Yildiz also highlighted the cooperation between Trkiye and Sudan, noting Sudan’s facilitation in opening Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) offices, establishing a Turkish bank in Port Sudan, and launching Turkish Airlines operations in the country. He commended the political leadership of both nations for their roles in advancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
