Khartoum North:The Sudanese Doctors Association in Qatar is performing 15 kidney transplant operations at Ahmed Qasim Hospital for Heart Diseases, Surgery, and Kidney Transplantation.
According to Sudan News Agency, the medical team began these procedures as part of a medical camp, with the first operations taking place on Friday. The camp's activities will continue until October 3, 2026, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Kuwaiti Patients' Aid Fund.
The team includes Dr. Omar Essam, Dr. Osama Abdel Jalil, Dr. Suhail Mohamed Gamal, Dr. Nader Ibrahim, and Dr. Salma Azhari. This initiative is part of the association's efforts to support the health sector in Sudan by organizing specialized medical camps and providing advanced treatment care. The project also aims to alleviate patient suffering, transfer medical expertise, and contribute to localizing treatment within the country.
