Khartoum: Sudan's Ambassador to Egypt, Imad Adawi, received a media delegation at the embassy, which included Major (Police) Sara Saif Al-Din, Director of Media and Public Relations at the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration. The meeting was also attended by Colonel (Police) Waleed Al-Sayed, Director of the Passport and Civil Registry Office at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo. Ambassador Adawi expressed his appreciation for the vital role played by the Ministry of Interior in supporting and assisting Sudanese citizens.
According to Sudan News Agency, Adawi commended the exceptional efforts of the embassy's Passport and Civil Registry Office. He highlighted the significant progress made in upgrading and modernizing the systems for issuing the updated electronic passport. The ambassador noted the speedier issuance of emergency travel documents, which has been particularly beneficial for citizens wishing to return voluntarily to Sudan.
Additionally, Adawi praised the close coordination and cooperation between the Passport Office and the embassy's various sections and attach©s. This collaboration has been instrumental in ensuring efficient and streamlined services for Sudanese citizens residing in or traveling through Egypt.
