Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris issued a decision on Tuesday exempting all imported components of solar energy systems intended for personal use from customs duties, taxes, and all other government fees.
According to Sudan News Agency, the decision directs the Ministries of Finance, Energy, and Industry and Trade, the Central Bank of Sudan, the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, and all other relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to implement the decision. This move is seen as a significant step towards encouraging the adoption of renewable energy solutions at the personal level, aiming to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and promote sustainable practices across the nation.
