Khartoum: Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris reviewed the performance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports over the past period, focusing on efforts to prepare stadiums and sports grounds and organize numerous sporting activities that attracted large crowds. This reflects the genuine return of citizens to the national capital, Khartoum. This review took place during his meeting Monday in Khartoum with Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting discussed the ministry's programs and projects for the coming period, ongoing efforts to rehabilitate the International Youth City, and the activation of a number of sports, youth, and vocational programs at the Youth and Children's Palace. It also affirmed the importance of youth participation abroad.
The Minister of Youth and Sports announced that the ministry was preparing to bring in 10 turf grass varieties for 10 sports stadiums in Khartoum. He also revealed that the ministry had received an invitation to meet with officials at Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth. Qatari officials have expressed readiness to provide Sudan with two football stadiums.
