OCHA Calls on International Community to Join Forces to Build Better Future for Syria

Damascus: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Syria called on the international community to unite in building a better future for the Syrian people.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency, in a post on platform X marking United Nations Day, the office stated, “For 80 years, the UN has built peace and hope across nations. In Syria, our commitment continues helping communities recover, rebuild, and look to the future with resilience.”

“This UN Day, let’s stand together for peace, recovery, and a better future for all Syrians,” it added.

Every year, on October 24th, the world celebrates United Nations Day. The goal is to inform people of the organization’s goals of maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, achieving international cooperation, and highlighting the importance of collective action among peoples and nations under the umbrella of this international organization.
